DESIGN INTERNSHIP

BIG TRENDS FOR SMALL SPACES

Dormify is your one stop shop for all things college!

As their Design Intern, I sat in on their weekly strategy and creative review meetings where we discussed marketing campaigns and creative direction for peak season (and beyond.) Being an e-commerce site, Dormify finds their audience coming from their email list and social media presence. I worked very closely with their lead Graphic Designer to create fresh and engaging campaigns for email, site, and social.

EMAIL

When designing emails, it’s very important to keep in mind the user’s journey from when they see the subject line to the main imagery to the linked product pages, so here are some of my favorites!

SOCIAL

@dormify is your big sister for all things college!

Whether we’re posting that we can’t get out of bed for our 8AM because the Juliette Eyelash Comforter is so comfortable or about how many times we have seen guys with navy sheets in their dorms, our content is fun, relatable, and useful.

I worked alongside Dormify’s Content Manager and the other interns to brainstorm ideas for social, and created lots of social-first graphics for Pinterest and Instagram!

BRAND AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

One of Dormify’s goals for the 2023 peak season was to relaunch their Ambassador Program, and we had a successful launch in early June! We currently have over 1200 active ambassadors in the Dormifam!

As a college student and Design Intern, I was asked to help design the assets for the Ambassador Dashboard, like emails, stickers, and monthly newsletters. I also became a Dormify Brand Ambassador, creating content and promoting their products to my friends and other Penn State students.

E-COMMERCE SITE

Dormify jumped at the opportunity to join #BarbieGirlSummer, and I created the Barbiecore Aesthetic cover image and helped curate the Barbiecore-inspired products collection.
