PRINT DESIGN

FROM CONCEPT TO PRODUCTION
One of the goals for Senior Year Experience was to connect with upcoming graduates and promote Senior Week, a week-long celebration honoring their accomplishments and educating them about the Alumni Association. With that in mind, I designed a graduation checklist postcard meant to engage students as they prepare for graduation. This print acts as a practical resource and collectible item during this timeframe of their education. The front features a bold typographic treatment, creating visual impact while staying in brand. The typography-focused design also allows this concept to expand into a broader series that will highlight alumni benefits and post-grad engagement. The back functions as an interactive checklist that encourages students to:
- Prepare for graduation
- Utilize career-readiness resources
- Attend future PSAA events
- Explore the benefits as future alumni
Beyond concept and layout design, I worked with my Creative Director to manage the full production process—ensuring brand compliance, preparing print-ready files, coordinating specifications, and overseeing delivery to guarantee accuracy and on-time distribution. The front of the postcard was printed on full-color coated stock to create a high-quality, polished feel, while the back uses uncoated stock to allow students to easily write and personalize their checklist as they approach graduation.
By creating a physical takeaway, students leave events with a tangible reminder of upcoming deadlines, resources, and opportunities to stay connected and engage beyond their time at Penn State.
